Congrats!!! I hear you won the judges choice with a porter. I remember your ESB from last year and that was great and I thought that would be your winner. That has to be a really nice porter. Nice!!!
I think it would be great to try to form a homebrewing branch of the EBS. One of the problems I had with the other one is meeting on Saturday afternoons. Just too much going on. Maybe during the week after 7-8ish? What do you think? Good luck this weekend. I'm in Florida now and when I get back have ingrediants to brew a Belgian IPA and need to bottle a saison. talk to you later.
Unfortunately I will not be there, I will be driving back from vacation that day. I was banking on the event to be in March like it has been. There hasn't been much notice about it until this forum posted it. I just found out about it a few weeks ago. Probably more notice is needed for the brewers. Talked with a few brewers and they said they just won't be able to have anything ready. I've been brewing about six times in the last year. Had some real good success in a competition for an imperial stout. I just currently started a sour red project that the first offerings from that is be ready in about 2 years. Also, just brewed a saison in which I added a brettanomyces strain that I isolated from a spontaneous fermented starter that was left outside. If yours are ready what are you bringing? Also, been thinking about seeing if a group of homebrewers want to get together and do a sampling. I don't get a chance to try others homebrews often. Let me know what you think. Kevin
