http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi1WXYHHc2sWQLN is hosting a tour of Ohio Breweries on Saturday February 19, 2011.
Everything on the tour is included. Transportation on a deluxe motor coach, all food, beer, tips, and taxes. Plus everyone on the tour will receive a ticket to either session of the Erie Micro Brew Festival on April 16.
The tour will begin at the Brew Kettle in Strongsville. The Brew Kettle was voted best Midwest microbrewery by Draft Magazine in 2010. Owner Chris McKim will serve us a traditional Ohio Eggbake breakfast – eggs, sausage, bagels, sweet rolls and 4 kinds of beer poured fresh from a keg.
Next we’ll go to Thirsty Dog Brewing in Akron. Owner Jim Najeway will give us a tor and tell us about the dogs featured on his labels. We’ll also same beer. When we leave Thirsty Dog we’ll drive by Chrissie Hynde’s new restaurant – the Cruelty-Free Italian-Mediterranean.
We’ll then have lunch and a sampling at the Main Street Grille and Brewing Company in Garrettsville – a great little pub that ooooozes charm. You’ll have a choice of Chicken, Beef, Fish plus sides – and beer.
Then we roll into Cleveland for a tour of Great Lakes and a private tour and tasting at the factory.
We’ll then have dinner at Willoughby Brewing. There’s a choice of entries and sides, but every one will have an opportunity to experience the most addictive stuff on the planet – 100 times more addictive than water and 1,000 times more addictive than air – the world famous Willoughby Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls. We will also sample Willoughby’s Ales.
All of this – beer, food, ticket to brew fest - for a special Erie Beer Society price of $155.
